Still Life

I initially assumed that Still Life photography would be straightforward. In preparation, I purchased some lighting equipment, and inherited additional gear from a friend. Called a friend of mine who is a commercial photographer and met with him to acquire some tips and ideas.  I looked forward to working indoors, relieved to avoid the typical hazards of nature and landscape photography and a blustery cold winter.  However, indoor photography presents its own unique challenges.  Achieving the proper lighting proved to be incredibly difficult, for one. Still-life photography is far more complex than it appears, and I have barely scratched the surface. Ultimately, I am quite pleased with the few shots that I managed to capture.  I was grateful for all that I learned and fully intend to revisit this art form the next time I am housebound.
